Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are following in the footstep of Wall Street as the Nifty surges 600 points, jumping to 22,900. The Nifty Bank index rose 1,500 points, to 51,800. Trent, Bharat Electronics, Shriram Finance are amongst the biggest gainers.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are starting the new financial year with a bang, with Nifty surging over 500 points, rising towards 22,900. The Sensex index is up over 1,600 points, jumping to 73,600.
Today is the start of a new month, a new quarter, a new F&O series and a new financial year as well, and the Nifty bulls would hope that their fortunes are better after the worst point drop on record in the March series.
Brent and WTI both remain between the $90 to $105 a barrel mark.
For the Nifty, 22,700 – 22,800 will be the level to watch on the upside, while 22,000 on the downside holds the key now.
The Nifty Bank has almost entered bear market territory and will be aiming for a bounce if there is one today.
