Stock Market Live Updates: The sharp recovery seen in Indian markets over the last two weeks is put to test today. Nifty, Sensex were volatile in the beginning but surged post 10.30 am, with Nifty rising above 24,400.
US futures were down this morning after the latest stand-off on the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices are back higher.
Besides this, the Nifty is also reacting to results from two of its biggest constituents, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank.
For the Nifty bulls, 24,000 has now become the key on the downside, while last week’s high of 24,400 is key on the upside. For the Nifty Bank, the 56,000 mark lower down is crucial, followed by 57,000 on the upside.
The bulls would hope for the market to continue ignoring the war rhetoric, as it has over the last two weeks and pay more attention to earnings. Along with HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Mastek, Jio Financial Services, are some stocks are reacting to results today, while Groww, Bank of Maharashtra, PNB Housing are some major results today.
