Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index has surged, hitting the 25,300 for the first time since July 11. The Sensex index is also up over 250 points, surging to 82,700 mark. Tata Consumer, Bharat Electronics, SBI, Grasim and Ultratech are among the major gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty bulls continue to be on parade as the 50-stock index has surged above the 25,300 mark, surging towards the 25,350 mark, with gains of nearly 80 points. The Sensex index is up over 250 points. The index is rising towards the 82,700 mark.
The Nifty Bank is up over 200 points, as the banking index, the August 22 and 25 highs of 55,300 and 55,700 remain key on the upside.
Urban Company is listed on the markets with a premium of 60%, listing at ₹162 per share.
In the broader market, the midcap index is relatively underperforming, trailing behind the front-line indices. The Nifty Midcap index is up over 150 points or around 0.27%. The Nifty Smallcap index has improved its position, rising by over 0.44%.
Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 index include KNR Construction, IFCI Ltd, GRSE, Inox Wind, PNC Infratech, among other stocks.
