Fancy grabbing some merch for your favourite first-party Xbox games?
Well, Microsoft has set up an official Xbox Game Studios Shop today, with the intent of selling merchandise from the likes of Halo, Gears, Fable, Forza, Grounded, Sea Of Thieves and various other popular Xbox IP.
The initial lineup is small, being made up of mostly t-shirts, hoodies and accessories such as mugs and phone cases, but Team Xbox says it will expand over time, with the idea to refine the experience based on customer feedback.
“Today, we’re launching the XBOX Game Studios Shop, your new destination for official merchandise from your favorite XBOX Game Studios titles, such as Halo, Forza, Gears of War, Fable, and more. From collectibles to everyday gear, think hats, tees, drinkware, your new favorite hoodie, and more, the shop brings together a growing range of items across a variety of price points, you can rep your favorite XBOX games, your way.
We’re starting with an initial collection that will expand over time, with new items rolling out alongside some of our biggest game moments throughout the year. That way we can learn from real-world player feedback and refine the shopping experience as we grow.”
At the moment, there’s not actually anything from Gears or Fable, with both of those said to be “coming soon”, so the majority of stuff is focused around Halo and Forza, although there are a few bits for the likes of Avowed, Hellblade 2, Age of Empires and various other first-party Xbox franchises as well.
I’ll be honest, I’d quite like to grab the Forza Horizon 6 Discover Japan hoodie they have, but $74.99 plus $7.99 shipping to my address in the UK (which equals around £60) perhaps feels a little steep. If my addiction to the game continues, maybe I’ll have to grab it as a late birthday present anyway!
