Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets look all set to end yet another week in the red. The Nifty index has fallen below the milestone mark of 25,000, thanks to a decline of over 170 points. This is the first time in about a month that the Nifty index has fallen below the 25,000 mark.
The Sensex is having an equally bad day, with a fall of over 500 points, falling below the 82,000 mark.
The Nifty Bank Index is one of the biggest casualties of today’s sell-off, with a dip of close to 1% or 500 points. This decline is fuelled by the fall of Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank.
When we look at some of the biggest losers among the top 500 Nifty companies, including Clean Science, New Gen, and Axis Bank, all of them are reacting to their quarterly results.
Saregama and JK Cements are among the few stocks to buck their red wave of decline.
Some of the volume buzzers of the day include Saregama, Tata Communications, Clean Science, Afcons Infrastructure, and Godrej Agro have seen some of the biggest movers in terms of higher than average volumes, today.
