The previous session was a forgettable day for the bulls, as concerns around the rise of Covid-19 cases in select states of India, outweighed the potential early onset of Monsoons in the country. Adding to that were uncertainties surrounding the US economy.
The Nifty broke below key levels on Tuesday, closing below the 24,750 mark. Broader markets, after days of outperforming the benchmark index, also took a breather.
There is no significant reaction from Wall Street to take cues from, as indices traded in a narrow range in what turned out to be a lukewarm session.
However, while the index has moved sideways to lower, there has been plenty of stock-specific action, which remains the case today as well. Dixon Tech is reacting to the results reported after market hours on Tuesday, along with stocks like Whirlpool, Torrent Pharma, Gland Pharma, J Kumar Infra, and others. With earnings season drawing to a close, companies are making a beeline to report results, and today’s session is no different.
As many as seven PSUs, including ONGC, Oil India, IRCON, RVNL, among others, report results today, along with names like Colgate-Palmolive and IndusInd Bank, which have again been in the line of fire. Watch this space for all the live updates.
