US Stock Market Highlights: The S&P 500 ended slightly higher on Monday (June 9), extending its gains for a second session, as markets reacted to renewed trade negotiations between the United States and China. The benchmark index added 0.09% to close at 6,005.88, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.31% to 19,591.24. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat, dipping 1.11 points to finish at 42,761.76.

US Stock Market Highlights:  The S&P 500 ended slightly higher on Monday (June 9), extending its gains for a second session, as markets reacted to renewed trade negotiations between the United States and China. The benchmark index added 0.09% to close at 6,005.88, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.31% to 19,591.24. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat, dipping 1.11 points to finish at 42,761.76. Top US officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, held discussions with Chinese counterparts in London. National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett told CNBC that Washington was pushing for assurances that China would resume exports of key minerals vital to American industries.
