Keep the good times rolling

Capcom has been winning for quite some time now, announcing eight years of record financial results – and, of course, it’s been making some unforgettable games along the way.
Now the organisation plans to build a new base in Osaka, with the construction expected to be completed in 2027. That’s according to comments made by the company during a recent financial call, as reported by Gamebiz.jp.
The company already owns and operates multiple offices in Osaka, but this new building will allow it to expand by 100 employees per year, which will obviously enable it to significantly scale up its operations.
One thing it wants to strengthen is its excellent RE Engine, which already powers a number of internally developed games, like Monster Hunter and Resident Evil. The company is eager to improve on its proprietary codebase, and support it with the addition of new technology and features.
It’s a good time for Capcom, then, with Monster Hunter Wilds just getting started and Street Fighter 6 remaining king of the fighting genre. Expect a new Resident Evil in the coming years to help fuel its future growth, too.
