Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After being under pressure in the early half, the indices seem to be on the path of major recovery. The Nifty has recovers over 150 points from lows, is now closing in on 24,200. The Nifty Bank has recovered over 550 points from the lowest point of the day to turn green. TCS, HDFC Life and HCLTech are the big gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets have managed to make a remarkable recovery from the lows of the day after a bad start. However, the indices still remain in red, as bulls look for support.
After recovery from the lows, Nifty is down over 50 points, falling below 24,200. The Sensex is down over 150 points, dropping to the 77,400 mark.
The index came within touching distance of posting its fifth straight weekly gain on Friday but could not sustain above the 24,250 mark.
The two-day recovery has put the Nifty back in the 23,800 – 24,300 saddle and a break on either side will be needed for further direction.
The Nifty Bank is also under pressure, falling close to 300 points.
The Nifty Bank has been the better performer, closing above 58,000 on a weekly basis and posting gains despite a 1,600-point drop mid-week.
Earnings season picks up pace with nearly 70 companies reporting results this week, including a major banking day on Saturday. For today, keep an eye on stocks like LTM, Avenue Supermarts, Just Dial, crude sensitives, and HCLTech, among others.
